I'm working on a new book of poem images called Thin Sound of a Flute:
“Thin Sound of a Flute” is a collection of contemporary English-language haiku by visual artist and poet Marie Bortolotto. Dropping traditional haiku rules, she writes free-form verses called "poem images" during her daily walks to foster a deeply attentive way of seeing the world. These urban snapshots transform ordinary moments into mindful ones, encouraging readers to slow down and nurture a sense of curiosity and wonder in their own lives.
