our eyes meet in silence

I throw some coins into his baseball cap

a woman scurries with her yappy dogs

the rain pours down on my lonely thoughts

empty bowl -- a beggar sits cross-legged on the pavement

tiptoeing --
fallen chestnuts
helter-skelter

a lone crow strolls down the rain-soaked street
